Free Mini Starter Palette
Color and light shape mood and energy. My fine art informed palettes are curated to bring balance, flow, and effortless beauty.
In this sample palette pictured below, multiple paint brands work together to create a unique, warm, low-vibrancy look:
-Farrow and Ball 'Skylight'
-Farrow and Ball 'Hague Blue'
-Backdrop's 'Harajuku Morning'

How to Use the Sample Palette:
Scheme One: Soft Light + Dramatic Ceiling
Walls: Harajuku Morning
A warm, nuanced neutral that reads softly in natural light and holds up beautifully in NYC
apartments with shifting exposures. It creates a calm but not flat foundation.
Millwork & Trim: Skylight
A delicate blue-grey that feels airy and architectural. On millwork, it adds subtle contrast against warmer walls while maintaining cohesion in terms of color value.
Ceiling: Hague Blue
Deep, enveloping, and quietly dramatic. A painted ceiling subtly draws the eye upward and gives even standard-height rooms unexpected depth. In evening light, this ceiling feels intimate and sophisticated.
This scheme works beautifully in living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas where you want both lightness and presence.
Scheme Two: Moody Walls + Luminous Trim
Walls: Hague Blue
Used on all four walls, it creates a rich, cocooning environment — especially striking in brownstones or lofts with strong
architectural detail. If doing Hague Blue walls, be sure to have multiple lamps at varying heights, and no overhead light.
Millwork & Ceiling: Skylight
Painting both trim and ceiling in Skylight softens the contrast and prevents the deep walls from feeling heavy. The cool undertone keeps the blue from turning overly green.
Accent Surfaces (optional): Harajuku Morning
Use on an adjacent hallway, interior doors, or built-ins to create a warm counterpoint and visual transition.
